Best Kept secret in Branson wow were we surprised!! The cruise was wonderful and the dinner could not be topped. The captain and crew were well informed, friendly and the food outstanding. Will take our Branson guest here from now on. Very enjoyable evening in our hometown. More
I got married on the Princess Yacht in May 2010. I know this review is a little out of date, but as I was exploring the landing area this brought back some amazing memories. I cannot even put into words how accommodating they were to everyone’s wants and needs. Mine, luckily my husband’s were minimal, but also the parents, without letting me feel that stress. It’s a venue yes, but almost a wedding planner as well. We’re outdoors people with a passion for fishing and my dad said jokingly how about a boat. We also come from generations of farmers, at that time the boat was motored by 2 John Deere motors, so it was definitely meant to be and an absolutely beautiful day thanks to the staff at Main st. Cruises! …
Relaxing You’re able to board early and they start serving immediately with drinks and salad. The cruise started right on time. The food was okay. Chicken was quite dry but the rest was fine. The dessert was excellent. The staff and crew were all very professional. The ride is very relaxing and comfortable. The captain stopped for a quick view of the fountain show which started with the Star Spangled Banner.
Peaceful Cruise and Pleasant Meal We did the dinner cruise from Branson Landing in old-downtown Branson. We were greeted by Captain Gus and a very welcoming, friendly crew of college-age guys and gals. Once we left the dock, our food was served very quickly. The staff was anxious to please and quick to respond to our requests. The meal included a grilled chicken breast and pork tenderloin accompanied by a vegetable and potato. Everything was tasty. The meal concluded with chocolate cake for dessert. We completed our meal while enjoying our cruise on the lake. We arrived back at Branson Landing in time to view the 7:00 p.m. dancing-fountain show from the yacht. This proved to be a relaxing, fun way to see another side of Branson. More
Exceeded expectations I read mixed reviews of the daytime cruise on Lake Taneycomo but needed to flesh out an itinerary for my party. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. We cruised on a beautiful fall day. Our captain ("The Dancing Captain") was interested in her guests, well-informed, personable and capable. One of our party in particular is into bird-watching and the captain made sure folks spotted interesting species and nests. We also learned some history and spotted where rich and famous folk live. We did not do the lunch because the reviews I had read weren't that great, but as the sandwich plates passed us by I have to say they looked rather tasty. We were glad we did this cruise and felt we learned more about the Branson area. We felt we got our money's worth, and would recommend it to other travelers.
Perfect Day for a Cruise I was on my own for the day and looking for something to do on a beautiful early autumn day and ended up taking a cruise on the Lake Queen, piloted by Captain Gus. It was a very pleasant and peaceful 90 minute cruise on Lake Taneycomo. Captain Gus regaled us with the unique history of the area and also told us the type of birds and animals we encountered along the way, which included an eagle and some white-tailed deer. Gus has a great sense of humor that was highlighted by sounding the vessel's loud horn as zip-liners were traversing just above us. We stopped briefly at Branson's Landing to watch the music and light show on the shore on our way back to the dock. I keep remembering facts that he shared with us along the way and am just amazed. I was very impressed with the cruise and would highly recommend it.
